Brigadier General William F. Wilkerson
Deputy Commanding General - Sustainment, Eighth Army

BG William Wilkerson was selected as the 8th Army Deputy Commanding General for Sustainment on 23 June 2025. BG Wilkerson encourages simplicity, creativity, and believes in rapid implementation of solutions to drive improvements.

BG Wilkerson enlisted in the Army shortly after graduation from high school and upon completion of Basic Training deployed to Saudi Arabia for Operation Desert Storm. After returning to the United States, BG Wilkerson received a Green to Gold Scholarship to attend college at the University of Tampa where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army Transportation Corps.  In 2008, BG Wilkerson completed his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Degree from Chaminade University, Honolulu, HI.

BG Wilkerson completed the Army War College in 2017 earning a Masters in Strategic Studies.  His previous professional military education includes the Advanced Joint Professional Military Education Course, the Advanced Warfighter Operations Course, Intermediate Level Education Course, Combined Service Staff School, the Transportation Officer Advanced Course, and the Transportation Officer Basic Course.
