Brigadier General Mark A. Holler
Deputy Commanding General - Operations, Eighth Army
A native of Florida, Brig. Gen. Holler graduated from the University of North Florida in 1992 as a ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate and commissioned into the Air Defense Artillery Corps. His military education includes the Air Defense Artillery Officer Basic Course, Infantry Officer Advanced Course (Distinguished Honor Graduate), Air Command and Staff Course, and the Army War College (Distinguished Graduate).
Brig. Gen. Holler served in the following key assignments throughout his career: Platoon Leader and Battery Executive Officer in the 24th Infantry Division (Mech); Air Defense Fire Coordination Officer in the 1st Battlefield Coordination Detachment; Assistant Battalion Operations Officer and Battery Commander in 82nd Airborne Division; Joint Readiness Training Center Observer Controller; CJTF-180 CJ3 Battle Captain (OEF); Army Liaison Officer to the 1st Marine Division (OIF); XVIII Airborne Corps G3 Chief of Operations; Battalion S3, 82nd Airborne Division Special Troops Battalion; Brigade Task Force S3 in Regional Command – East (OEF); Brigade S3 and Deputy Commanding Officer, 108th ADA Brigade; Battalion Commander, 1st Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery (OEF); Deputy Commanding Officer, 69th ADA Brigade (OEF); G3, 32d Army Air and Missile Defense Command; Brigade Commander, 35th Air Defense Artillery Brigade (Korea); Executive Officer to the Army Inspector General; Director of Fires, HQDA G-3/5/7; Commandant, U.S Army Defense Artillery School and Chief of Air Defense Artillery; Commanding General, 94th Army Air and Missile Defense Command.
