MATERIEL SUPPORT COMMAND-KOREA COMMANDER

Colonel Christopher D. Noe

COL Noe currently serves as the Brigade Commander of Materiel Support Command-Korea (MSC-K). In this position he is responsible for tactical and operational sustainment in support of the Korean Theater of Operations across all tactical logistics functional areas.

Prior to taking command of MSC-K, COL Noe served as the Chief of Staff for 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command.

COL Noe began his career in the United States Army in the Virginia National Guard in 1994, where he served as an Infantryman. COL Noe received his commission in 1996 through Army ROTC from the Virginia Military Institute.

He was branch detailed Field Artillery where he served as a Company Fire Support Officer in 3-82nd Field Artillery, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Completing his branch detail in 1998, COL Noe returned to the Quartermaster Corps where he served as Supply Support Activity Platoon Leader and Deputy Support Operations Officer in 615th Aviation Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division. From 2001-2004, COL Noe served as Battalion S-3 and D Company Commander, 123rd Main Support Battalion, 1st Armored Division, Dexheim, Germany, deploying to Operation Iraqi Freedom One from 2003-2004. From 2005-2007, he was assigned to US Army Combined Arms Support Command, Fort Lee, Virginia, where served as a combat developer and as aide-de-camp to the Commanding General. In 2008, COL Noe served as the Deputy Chief, Logistics Automation Branch, US Army Europe G-4. From 2009-2012, he served as the Brigade S-4 and Support Operations Officer in the 170th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Baumholder, Germany. As the Support Operations Officer, he deployed to Northern Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 11-12. From 2012-2014, COL Noe was assigned to the Casualty and Mortuary Affairs Operations Center at US Army Human Resources Command, Fort Knox, Kentucky, where he served as the Chief of Operations for the Department of the Army Casualty Notification Cell. From 2014-2016, he commanded Army Field Support Battalion-Northeast Asia, Camp Carroll, Korea. Following command, COL Noe served as the Deputy Chief of Staff, G/C4 in the 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of Korea-US Combined, Camp Red Cloud, Korea. In June 2018, COL Noe began serving as the Chief of Staff, 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Camp Henry, Korea.

COL Noe’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Meritorious Service Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan and Iraq Campaign Service Medals, Global War on Terrorism Service Medals, Korean Defense Service Medal, NATO Medal, and the Basic Parachutist Badge.

COL Noe is a graduate of the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, the Supply and Services Management Officer Course, The Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, The Combined Arms Staff Services Course, the Mortuary Affairs Operations Officer Course, the Petroleum Officers Course, the Logistics Executive Development Course, the Command and General Staff Officer Course, and the College of Naval Warfare. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the Virginia Military Institute, a Master of Business Administration from Grantham University, and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
